Welcome to pushpencil.

Why do I share my poems?

If every poem that I crafted was ‘perfect’ before I pressed Publish, there would be no poems.

These poems come from my regular early morning practice of writing, and waiting on and working with words. It’s the first thing I do after I get up, after arming myself with a cup of coffee.

When I think a piece is ready, (note I said ready and not perfect), my intention is to push it out of the nest.

It’s an act of courage, putting the work out there. Sharing is critical to the process. The joy comes from realising that the more poems I write, and the more I let them go, the more they come looking for me.
